Open for distraction...

Driving through the empty streets of Beirut at night is very eerie as you feel something is in the air, literally. But surprisingly, the few Beirutis remaining in town are still going out for their usual drinks and distraction, trying to make life feel as normal as possible. So far the three most popular places are Torino Express (viva Andreas) and Bread in Gemmayzeh and De Prague in Hamra. De Prague is by far the most packed, but the place shuts down at 9h30 - that is if no bombs resonate and people pick up and leave before. However, I have to give it to the owner of De Prague who 'pumped up the volume' when the Israelis were bombing in the background. cheers, mrtez
