Well, would you instead like for the U.S. to send a squadren of B2s to Israel and then let them just carpet bomb the whole country. The war would be over pretty soon then and nobody would have to worry about the terriosts or the civilans because they would all be dead!

The use of the UK as a staging area is nothing new, with Prestwick being picked up by the media...and rightly so. It indicates a ‘yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir’ mentality, potentially fuelling the blinkered actions (or perhaps inactions) of the ‘hyper’ power of the West.

I was outraged at the use of Prestwick, and pleased to hear the Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett, threatening to lodge a formal complaint. Alright, you may ask...so what difference does that make? Nonetheless some of the ‘powers-that-be’ over here are speaking frankly. And now we have Jack Straw breaking rank with words akin to Kim Howell’s.

The Prestwick issue is yet another instance highlighting Britain’s subservience to the US; something that I find troubling...although having read the following it got me thinking:

“What [Blair] has in Washington is not power, but access...should [he] make the most of that access or not? Should he go for the cheap thrill of criticising the President in public – to what end, it is not clear – or stick with the arduous, often frustrating, and occasionally humiliating business of cajoling, coaxing and schmoozing him in private?” (Sunday Telegraph, July 30 2006, pp23)

It is so sad to preach such hate. And useless. What purpose do your lessons serve? Breeding hate? COngratulations? What does that accomplish? Fundamentalism and extremism radicalizes all. Your vicious words and ignorant teachings alienate American moderates who support the Arab community. You lost me here.

It's very public information that America supplies Isreal with lots of weapons...it's no secret operation, and even the military items we have sent since this started is very public info...even MSNBC talks about it.

The image seems to make it out like a secret operation, which it is not. I couldn't tell you why it took the route it did, but weapons from the U.S. to Isreal shouldn't suprise anyone.
